Why do we need the hashtag #connectingworlds?

At the beginning of my project with MOCHIL, my goal was to combine everything that I love doing most - social entrepreneurship, fashion and Latin American culture.
Working with Mexican handicrafts has become an essential part of my work. I want to bring my customers closer to the hidden beauty of Latin America through the skills of local manual work, hence the hashtag #connectingworlds.
Dealing with Latin American culture gives us access to other ways of thinking and emotions. Values that seem fundamental to us and that we take for granted are viewed critically and treated differently. It is obvious that this can lead to challenges and misunderstandings, but this is precisely when exciting encounters can emerge and the horizon is widened.

You start to see and understand things that were previously unknown. In my opinion, we should focus on understanding other views and actions and not constantly evaluating them. I deeply admire the Latin American community for their happy and relaxed way of life. This is exactly what I am trying to reproduce with Mochil.

The attention from foreign customers the workers receive, give them great pleasure which also makes me feel happy. By bringing their carefully manufactured products to Europe, I can introduce them to a "different world" - to an everyday life that is characterized by organization and order. That is MOCHIL in a nutshell and the whole idea behind #connectingworld
